COLONIAL SECRETARY'S OFFICE,
HONGKONG. 20th November 1886.
The following Order of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government on Letter No. 397 of the 12th instant from the Supt: of the Civil Hospital is communicated to the Colonial Surgeon for Dr Wharry's information and guidance.
Subject Dr Wharry's refusal to perform medico-legal work

Let Dr Wharry be informed that his case has been carefully considered by the Executive Council, and that the Officer Administering the Government now orders that he be informed as follows:
"That the Officer Administering Government finds that the explanations which he has sent in, in reply to the charge of insubordination and disobedience of orders, on the 6th instant, are not considered satisfactory.
This document is to be filed in your Office.
